rooosters.
hahh. just realised ive only blogged like 5times since 2005 started. anw these past few days have been fun! well kinda..
tue: new yrs eve
went to sch for celebrations n then i met pris n ching at borders! met ching a lil earlier n we walked ard at far east for awhile. town was like bursting at the seams w pple.. every few steps we walk we'll see someone we know. hahah. then we met pris at borders to eat nydc! yumyum. oh n i saw xt n shumin there. haha. the 3 of us shared this jug of drink..elephanccino. hahah. think the name is damn funky. n i ate this mud pie thingy. so yummilicious! :) but coulnt really finish it. heheh. we chatted quite a bit n then walked ard for awhile. we tried on all sorts of make up n eyeshadow stuff. so funny. pris helped me put on this blue eyeshadow tt she claimed made me look nicer but it reminded me of our chem teacher mrs chew who had silvery blue eyeshadow which made her look like a fishy mermaid. hoho. it was so nice to see them again! pris esp since the last time i met her was almost 6months ago! loved catching up w them n just doing stuff tog :) but was too short tho the meeting. ching n i had to rush home for reunion dinner. bahh. so we had to go...but 1st promising to meet up soon again for a longer time. sigh.. theres nothing like meeting up w old frens :)
reunion dinner was....cosy. just 3 families fr my dads side. had the usual steam boat n stuff. n we settled down to talk n roar w laughter at sachikos tales. shes so funny. then played a lil of rubbishy cluedo n play station. oh n my dad bought me a flower. hahah. its this yellow tulip plant n now its sitting on my balcony. yay. i love flowers :)
wed: CNY!
dragged outta bed to go visiting. went to aunt chings house 1st n sat ard for awhile pigging out. n then rushed back home to welcome my dads side relatives to our house. so cool man! see everyone all dressed up in their smart looking outfits waving hongbaos in the air. haha. my cousins were all like 'woah-ly' dressed. bare backed, mini skirts.. heels. but somehow my relatives kept commenting on me >.< boo... was just wearing a spag tog n a lil skirt n they made such a beeg deal. ooze sexiness? my foot. hahah. its like totally absurd. i was horrified at first but after tt it seemed quite funny. they obviously dunno wat sexy skimpy is. hahah.
took the usual new yr photos offering of tea n oranges n exchanging greetings stuff [the one time in a yr i have to sprout auspicious chinese chengyus at everyone]
then we were off to my aunt margarets hse for lunch. thereafter i started having cramps n the day passed in a blur w me almost passing out in the toilet n everyone getting all horrified n stuff. hahah. if i werent delirious w pain i would have thought it funny.
so while the rest went to visit the temples, my family went home n i slept the afternoon away. quite spoiler rite.. but oh well im used to such stuff.
at night we went to visit the maternal relatives. pple i didnt noe existed came up to me n shook my hands, claiming theyve my distant distant cousin. hahah. so cool. met lotsa interesting pple. n saw lotsa relatives we knew by sight but hardly talked to too. visited 2 relatives houses all like 8 diff families..but we mostly just sat in front of the tv and stuffed ourselves n chit chat.
thur:
went to visit char n nas house in the morn. slacked ard... ate more food. n then we went home to rest. visiting can be oh so exhausting. hahah. sharm n jill were supposed to come over but they couldnt last min n sinyan too.. but she couldnt again last min. so... i just slacked ard at home. felt quite good :) i shld dedicate more such days to myself.
fri:
had to go to sch but its half day! whoopee! but still brought lotsa books cos pradeep was hinting tt it might not be a half day.. bahh. hahah. lot of them went to orchard to eat n shop. but jill wanted to watch constantine so we went to j8. nice n convenient. ate at pastas cos jill was fasting. n we played hang man cos she was being a KAY POH n tried to force stuff out of me. man i shld learn how to lie properly. haha. alfie alfie. walked ard window shopping n we thought of a brilliant bday present for huighee! yay. smartsmart. :) its gonna take lotsa time n effort tho. the movie constantine was.... okay. haha. not as scary as i thought it'll be n some parts were pretty funny. like the part when keanu reeves' pecs were exposed n everyone sighed 'woww...' at the same time. hahah. keanu reeves is so cute! man. but the demons n posessing parts were scary. we sank as low into our seats as poss n jumped at everything. hahah! even when its just like some rustling of paper. see la tt jill made me all tensed up. haha.
okayy. tml is yet another busy visiting day. breakfast lunch n dinner all having different pple over. 3 parties in a row. 3 times having to play gracious host. hahah. ah well...
